I don’t know the size of my anchor chain. I have a sailboat, Beneteau Oceanis 45. What size of grab hook should I buy? Thanks
Thank you for your question.
Your boat should use the 3/8" chain but I know that other Beneteau Oceain 45' mont the 5/16".
The best way is to see wich size is in your boat.
Let me know if you need more help.

Thank you for your question.
Due to unexpectedly high demand of 3/8" grab hook in SS, we should have it in stock again not before the end of July.
Apologize for any inconvenience.

What is the proper size hook for a 5/16 chain?
Thank you for your question.
Ibelieve that you are talking about the grab hook right?
For the 5/16" chain, the 5/16" grab hook is the right size.

To determine freeboard and line length, should freeboard be measured from the bow cleats to the water? I have a Formula 34PC so it should be a 1/2” line, correct?
Hi, thank you for your question.
You can to calculate the distance from the deck (near the cleat), vertically up the waterline.
You need aproximate 2 1/2 times (minimum) the freeboard for the right length.
1/2" is good size for you as snubber.
I know other owners with the 34 Formula, some use the 12' snubber and other the 15' snubber. The two sizes will work fine, specially the 15' during heavy weather and big waves.
Please let me know if you need more help.
Thanks

I dont know size of my chain i have a Power Yacht Absolute 45 fly what is recomended rope and hook i would like to know diffrence between shock snubber and normal
Thank you for your question. The displacement of your boat is around 33000 lb it should have 1/2" chain. So the 3/4" snubber will works fine. The snubber's lenght should be 2 1/2 times the freeboard (distance from the deck to the waterline).
About the difference between the snubbers I do not understand what you means for "normal". But all snubbers that we make avoid the shocks and all are the same, just change the diameters and sizes.
Please let ne know if you need more help.
Thanks a lot again
