Will the 5/8 three strand mooring pendant and thimble fit into a 3/8 inch shackle? I have a 23ft Harris tri-toon pontoon boat that I keep on a lake in Maine and replacing the 2 mooring ropes (1 rope for each outside pontoon). Want to know if I should be getting the 1/2 or 5/8 inch rope?
Hello,Thank you for your question. The 5/8" thimbles fit perfectly into 3/8" shackle. For your pontoon, 1/2" line will work well, and 5/8" rope better in case of heavy weather. We also have designed mooring lines just for pontoon boats, here the link:https://dbropes.com/search?type=product&q=PontoonPlease let me know if you need more help!ThanksDanidbRopes
