I have a huge concrete block already in about 7 feet of lake water that a former owner of the camp used to moor his pontoon boat. I am purchasing a new 21 foot pontoon boat this summer. Usually for a pontoon boat of 21' the 1/2" double mooring line with 3 shackle and e thimbles is a right size.
But depending the of the cleats or attachment of your pontoon boat.

Can you make the 1/2" X 7' Three Strand Double Mooring Pendant 100% Nylon Rope with 3 Stainless Steel Thimbles with a float attached to the 7 foot ends so the ropes float in the water?

What I can do is to put over the rope 2ft of pool noodle from the thimble on the buoy end line, t will work very well.
