Mooring Line and Anchor Snubber sizes

Which size should I need to mooring or anchoring my boat?
We have received many requests asking about the right line size for mooring and anchoring boats.
The right rope size depends on a number of factors: strong winds, waves, boat length, tides and quality of the rope.
The following information is intended as a recommendation/guide only, based on the mooring line and anchor snubber standards of dbropes (made with 100% three-strand nylon ropes made in USA).
MOORING LINES (permanent mooring)
Boats Length From 25' to 29' = 5/8" diameter.
Boats Length From 30' to 40' = 3/4" diameter.
Boats Length From 41' to 55' = 1" diameter.
ANCHOR SNUBBERS
The length should be equal to 2 1/2 times the freeboard (the height of a ship's side between the waterline and the deck).
Boats Length From 20' to 35' = 1/2" diameter.
Boats Length From 36' to 45' = 5/8" diameter.
Boats Length From 46' to 59' = 3/4" diameter.
Boats Length From 60' to 80' = 1" diameter.
